We are raising money for our dear friend Gala, who is currently battling a very rare pontine glioma tumour.

Gala's tumour is located in just about the most crucial part of her brain, the pons within the brain stem, which controls many bodily functions crucial to life, including blood pressure, breathing, balance and many more. Those that suffer from tumours in this area often find that their bodily functions gradually cease to work properly before potentially entering locked in syndrome, weeks/ months before death. Locked in syndrome is where the patient is fully aware and awake but trapped inside their own body due to all bodily functions shutting down and it is a terribly destressing condition.

Because of the rarity of the tumour, treatment options are limited & so Gala is exploring alternative therapies that are proven to be effective but can be costly.
