Tanzania is an East African country known for its wildlife (the ' Big five') and Kilimanjaro National Park. The country has a population of 55.57 million, with the main languages being Swahili and English.

Issues in Tanzania: 67.9% of people in Tanzania live in poverty and 42% of children suffer from chronic malnutrition. Although there are positives, for example extreme poverty has gone down from 11.7% to 9.7% in 6 years (2006-2012). On average in Tanzania, 1 woman will have 5 children, people are trying to improve girls education to solve these issues and hopefully give them better job opportunities for the future.

What we aim to do: On our expedition we hope to: expand waterholes for wildlife, remove invasive plants that are poisonous to wildlife and livestock, monitor wildlife, dig classroom foundations, lay bricks, plaster, paint and decorate buildings, make classroom furniture and paint educational murals on classroom walls.
