To all my Facebook friends and family. An old friend of mine Ex Army is terminally ill and has been given just months to live.


Phil Cox has spent the last 16 months battling aggressive tumours which are rapidly growing throughout his body.

To add to his ordeal, he recently received the devastating diagnosis of Leptomeningeal Disease - an incurable complication of cancer which spreads to the brain and spinal cord.

Phil who is only 36-year-old, lives in Billingham with his wife Kerri, 41, their son Joe, four, and Phil’s step-daughter Keira, 10. He has been told he could have less than a year - or as little as a few months - left to live.

I am trying to raise funds to help towards saving their family home and making life a little easier


I am planning a marathon day of burpees and getting as many people as possible to sponsor me 1p for every Burpee I can knock out on Monday 6th March. All burpees will be recorded and posted on WhatsApp, FB etc as evidence. I know some of you don't know Phil but any sponsors will be greatly appreciated, and you guys will get to see me doing burpees for a whole day! Btw I'm not sure how many I can actually achieve in 1 day but I promise it won't be more than 2000!
