Sharon, a beloved Wife, Mum and Nanny sadly went through 11 months of being on a painful and emotional rollercoaster. In January 2016 Sharon, Steve and the rest of the family got the devastating news that Sharon had cancer.

Sharon went through vagarious surgery, treatment and fought everything and everyday not crying once in hospital.

Unfortunately Sharon's life ended far too soon and Mucosal Melanoma Cancer took over and with a heavy heart Sharon's family had to say goodbye.

Mucosal Melanoma is very rare and the NHS do not fund research into it. As you probably know Melanoma is a cancer on your skin outside, but Mucosal Melanoma grows inside the warm mucous parts of the body genitals, nose and oesophagus. The Dunster's raised £5000 and Sharon's consultant Tim Crook matched this £5000 with his own money, he does research at the Imperial College in London and they have started a young doctor on a 3 year research into Mucosal Melanoma for her PHD.
