Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
Hello there, my name is Joanna Mitton, I am 18 and currently studying a BTEC Level 3 in performing arts (Acting) at the Hammond School in Chester. I am also currently auditioning for drama schools around the UK to study BA (hons) in Musical Theatre.
Earlier this year I auditioned for the National Youth Music Theatre, I was recalled and then offered the part of 'Heather' in their brand new commissioned production of 'Billy the Kid' Written by Ben Frost and Richard Hough!
Founded in 1976, the National Youth Music Theatre offers exceptional opportunities in pre-professional, musical theatre training for talented young people aged 10 to 23 years, past alumni include; Idris Elba, Jude Law, Matt Lucas and Eddie Redmayne. The National Youth Music Theatre represents the very best in work with young people through musical theatre enabling youngsters across the UK to develop both their creative and personal potential, leading Andrew Lloyd Webber to dub it, “The finest youth music theatre in the world.” This is why performing with this company is an incredible opportunity for me.
In order to take part, funding is required to cover accommodation and food for the residential rehearsals, pastoral care and all tutoring and experience gained in rehearsal and performance - and that is what I ask of you today. Even the smallest of donations is appreciated - as Tesco says "Every Little Helps!". Being a part of this production is a huge opportunity for me and one I know will help me in the future, thank you very much for taking the time for reading my page!
