A number of staff from NPTCBC Skills and Training are undertaking the Welsh three peaks challenge on 1st July 2017.

The 3 peaks are Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan. Starting at 4am, we will start the trek up Snowdon (Miners Path), followed by Cadair Idris (Pony Path),

A drive down to South Wales will see us start Pen Y Fan (Pont Ar Daf Path) before 7pm (hopefully), completing the challenge no later than 10pm!

This is quite a challenge as we will be walking approx 18 miles.

We are currently raising funds for a number of charities chosen by individuals who are attempting the challenge.

We are also looking to raise funds so that we can purchase a memorial bench for Pearl Breeze and locate it in our community garden.

The majority of staff at Skills and Training and other departments who are based at Tir Morfa either worked with Pearl or knew her very well throughout her employment within Lifelong Learning. Many of these staff will also have worked with or knew her husband, Alan Breeze.

Pearl was an extremely generous and likeable person who would help anyone, if she could.

Pearl is missed dearly by us all and is often brought up in our conversations and she is remembered by us all on a daily basis.

The memorial bench would help us to keep Pearl in our thoughts throughout our working day.

We would very much appreciate any donations which you may be able to give.

We are hoping to raise enough to purchase the bench and we would like to unveil it on August 12th, during our Tir Morfa open day.

Any funds remaining after we have purchased the bench, will be donated to a charity nominated by Alan.
