Jolyans American Adventure!

My name is Jolyan Acres and I am one of 12 fortunate Scouts from the Horsham district that have been selected to go to the World Scout Jamboree 2019, hosted by Summit Betchel Scout Reserve in West Virginia, North America. I need to raise approx £2600 in total to fund my trip and along with fundraising events over the following year and a bit, any contributions via this page will be warmly appreciated! The fee will contribute to my attendance at the event but also contributes to Scouts from other less fortunate countries allowing them to attend, supporting the aim of the Jamboree ‘Unlock a New World’.

Whilst in West Virginia, I will have the opportunity to meet 40,000 young people from countries all across the world, experience their cultures first hand, share languages and life experience, and also, give something back to the community project that we will be helping in North America.

Along with the other selected Scouts, I will be preparing and fundraising over the coming months - we hope to hold a variety of events including Race nights/ Bingo nights/ car washing / bag packing etc etc, all of which you are very welcome to attend!
