Weʼve raised £145 to Get off my couch and run 5k in 8 weeks to raise money for local charity, Grace Kelly Ladybird Appeal.

Story
Grace passed away in November 2014, aged 4 1/4 years from an aggressive form of renal cancer called a rhabdoid tumour.
As a part of her legacy, we are keen to fundraise to help other families in a similar position.
Research into childhood cancers is massively underfunded, especially the less common ones, and we want to try and help. Grace loved to help people and care, and would want this work to continue.

8 years agoHey, firstly a massive thank you for sponsoring me! My training is going really well, I've surprised myself. My main motivation of course is the thought of Grace and how she must have felt. Her family say she suffered greatly so whenever I'm thinking "cor this hill is hard" or "I'm going to walk for a bit now" I just think of Grace, and how she fought and I plough on.

8 years agoThank you to those who have sponsored me. Last week didn't go quite as well as I hoped. Although I did manage to run along the river in my lunch hour, which was wonderful. I also did a mini run with the pram on my way home from playgroup on Friday. It was all up hill so a bit of a struggle! This week James is away so a bit tricky for training. I will fit runs in where I can. Keep supporting me please. It really does help keep me motivated to raise money for Grace.
