    Story

Thank you for visiting my page.

Why would a 47 year old, sedentary Construction Director want to face the ultimate challenge of taking part in a boxing match?

Let me explain; It somehow came about after our Caxton's Christmas 'do'. With copious amounts of alcohol, banter amongst our colleagues, and egos to challenge, it was decided that both directors of Caxton's would take part in a boxing match.

In the cold light of day, hopes were that it would be forgotten, but of course this wasn't the case, #BattleoftheJohns was born.

If we were to battle it out in the ring, the only thing to do was to dedicate this fight to charity.

We're already raising funds in memory of our mum, Pat Swindale, for the Dale Hall Ward at the Haywood Hospital. Check out my other page; www.justgiving,com/crowdfunding/teamflynn

When mum was on the ward the amazing, generous Lou Macari came to visit mum. Mum was a huge Stoke City fan and had always admired Lou from her days following her beloved club. Lou admired mum's infamous scarf and we all reminisced about the good old days.
We will never forget that huge beaming smile Lou brought to mum's face and we want to thank him for his generosity, not just to us, but for his tireless work for the homeless in our area.
How many times have we walked past someone in the street and wondered what we can do to help. Many people have opinions on this matter, but Lou tirelessly offers help, and we have heard truly inspiring stories of how people have turned their lives around with a little help and support.
We want to be part of this little help and support.
We want to be able to help someone in their darkest hours, to help someone stay safe, to help them to know that there is help available, and to know that someone is thinking about them as they make their dontation.
Help us to raise as much money as we can, the more we raise, the more of a difference we can make.

Thank you so much for your generosity.

At last year's company shindig, after one or two celebratory drinks, Caxton's directors were encouraged to get in the ring together. #BattleoftheJohns was born.
