The South England Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Community Services Department has given me the opportunity to travel to Ghana in March 2018.

This mission trip will commence in Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle where many African and West Indian slaves begun their toilsome and perilous journey within the confinements of dark and poorly conditioned dungeons, where they endured excruciating trauma. We will visit museums and many other tourist attractions that will helps us familiarise ourselves with the culture.

As one of the missionaries in Ghana, I will travel to my respective group in Ada or Kumasi to help renovate a community library and rejuvenate a maternity/children’s hospital. The installation of computers will serve as a learning aid to improve the aptitude of the children and also enhance their prospective future both academically and professionally. It will also ensure that this hospital is better able to accommodate for the high volumes of pregnant women that are often turned away due to a lack of resources and the capacity to do so.

This trip will cost £1200, which includes all expenses, such as flights, food and accommodation.

If you would only be as kind as to let me be your hands and feet in Ghana by donating, I will be able to serve others and in doing so establish a rapport with a country I am sure my co-workers and I will be enthusiastic to return to.

Tesco and I agree that ‘every little helps’ but I would like to exceed this target! All additional funds raised will go towards resources needed within the facilities discussed.
