Story
It is not easy to become a medical student. Veronica has worked hard to get into Medicine (Aberdeen University). Her dream is to help people when they become ill. She finished her year 1 with distinction. This is a big achievement for a medical student. She has great potential to be one of the best doctors. However, she is not a typical medical student coming from a well off family. She comes from a very low-income family with 4 children (3 young primary school pupils) which cannot afford to buy all books and the equipment that Veronica needs for her studies. The student loan and a grant she gets cover her accommodation and some food expenses only. She will appreciate any help with raising an amount that is needed to buy medical equipment and books for year 2 before it commences in September.
