On the 7th May ( and having had a double hernia operation and letting my fitness fall to that of a sow) I am running the Lincolnshire half marathon.

I am raising money for my good friend Lee Chopping.

Lee has recently had a close loved one diagnosed with Autism.

He has inspired me with his positive and committed response to the news.
Lee has announced he is climbing mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the National Autistic Society.

Often the person who has committed him/herself to a great feat of courage like this are forgotten ie cost and equipment.

I want to raise some funds for Lee, to help him buy some support equipment for the climb - if it means I can help towards a good pair of boots or an expedition coat that can match the harsh conditions he will face, and make his climb that little bit more bearable - Then I will feel I have helped him if only in a very small way.

His desire to support this charity and the personal commitment he has shown to his family member is first class.

All the money I raise will go towards Lee's efforts in completing this huge commitment.

Anyone who knows "Choppers" will understand he is pushing himself well and truly beyond the limits of his everyday fitness levels!!!!!!
