Story
I had the best sister in the world (ever) , she was the kindest, smiliest, bravest person i have ever know and she brought an amazing presence to everyone she met. She was the most kind hearted and sweet little person you would ever meet.
My sister always loved to run through her school years doing cross country but around 7 years ago got back into running and joined the halstead road runners and soon took on her first marathon soon after that along came Edinburgh, Paris, Northern lights marathons and countless fun runs and half marathons. unfortunately on 11th October she passed away when being treated for oral cancer.
I now intend on doing the New york marathon in her memory as she always wanted to do it , i have taken on a few small charity runs but is going to be the biggest challenge of my life and im going to make my big sister proud.
unfortunately i am not in a possition where i can cover all costs but if i can raise enough for the entry and towards my flight what i raise on top will go to Macmillian nurses as the short time they were for my sister they put her at ease and do an amazing job for many people dealing with the effects of cancer xxxxx
Entry will open on Januray 15th and i aim to run for macmillian in one of their charity places which is around £700 just to enter befor the minimum fundraising amount is added , if for any reason i cannot get in this year then i kill keep trying until i can get a place.

6 years agoUpdate! Thank you to everyone so far your your support, I now have enough to start the application process, as part of the charity placement I have to pledge to raise a minimum of £3700 but aim to hit the £5000 mark with the help of a few extra charity events held throughout the year. Really wish Jo was here to see everyone's generosity and to be by my side in new york (she will be with me in a ring I've had made).
