Just a month ago Simon took the gamble and became the licensee of Browns Wine Bar in Heywood ,fulfilling a childhood dream of running his own bar along with his partner Claire..in his home Town..surrounded by his own people.

Not long into his first weeks Simon started to feel uneasy with his health....after a hasty visit to A&E it was discovered that Simon had infact suffered a heart attack... hes 44 for gods sake ..After endless tests an another long stay in the hispital...it was decided by his consultant that a by pass was urgently needed

Simon had the the 7 hour operation today .where four arteries were by passed....the lad is now in Intensive care recovering..its going to be a long recovery period...where Simon will be in no state to have a day to day running of his bar.... we need to help him keep his bar..a bar for the people of Heywood .( theres not many left ) Hes going to have to take a back seat ..employ staff and make sure the bar gets the lift off he would have given it.

Simon had lived and grown in Heywood..a redpected lad..cos hes a good un..a great character.. who basically needs a lift up.. through no fault of his own hes been struck down with illness

Not the ideal time to ask people to dig deep.. but a little ..whatever anyone can affordwill take an awful lot of pressure off simon and his family at this tough time

And we may end up with a local lad running a good friendly welcoming pub for us all to enjoy
