I will be taking part in the Birmingham half marathon on 15th October to raise money for a friend. Richard is a colleague who used to work within the IT team at Compass Group. Last year year he had a brain stem stroke who has left him with locked in syndrome. This is a condition where he is unable to move or communicate verbally, but he is able to communicate by blinking.

Richard is one of the kindest and bubbly people that anyone could ever wish to know, he was always the life of any party and has been greatly missed within the team.

He has now been able to return home and is enjoying spending time around his family but money is a constant worry due to the costs of care.

Any donations would be massively appreciated and would go a long way to offering some assitance for Richard's family.
