Story
Hi, my name is Josh. I have just recently started University and I have a Medical Condition called Becker Muscular Dystrophy, leading to the deterioration of my Muscles and my mobility.
This new Wheelchair will help improve my life in so many ways. It enables me to be lifted into a standing position helping me make eye contact instead of being talked down to and also helps me stretch my leg muscles. It will also improve my independence and help me to reach places I might never have got to before.
I would be so grateful for any donation towards this wheelchair which will help my live an independent life to the full.

6 years agoThe great news is that we have raised all the funds needed to purchase the new wheelchair and it will be ordered early in the New Year. A grant of £5,000 has just been given by a local trust and over £2,000 has been donated outside the crowd fund. I am continuing to raise funds to cover insurance, maintenance and eventual replacement of the wheelchair and want to thank you all for your support to date. I am touched by the generosity shown by so many friends, family and perhaps people I don't even know.
