    Story

In May 25th to June 5 2017, I will embark on what possibly be the wildest challenge of my life. I will leave my house with the clothes on my back and a medium sized backpack with very basic gear. No money, no food or bank cards. I will head towards John O'Groats to accomplish a challenge. Hitch-hiking from my home to John O’Groats to Landsend and back to my home. The far north and south possible points in Great Britain. Two places I have never been before. I have somewhat of a plan. But I don't know how I’m going to manage it. That’s over 2500 kilometers clear across Great Britain I sort of know what's awaiting me but to be honest I can easily get lost along the motorways, mountains, blazing winds some of the harshest places in Great Britain will be between myself and my destination.

I will support the One Shot One Life: Lions Measles Initiative
LCIF partners with various organizations around the world to vaccinate the children who need it most. In 2013, LCIF partnered with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to protect millions of children against measles. Lions have committed to raising US$30 million for Gavi, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, bringing the total to US$60 million by 2017.

Combating Measles Measles is one of the most contagious yet easily prevented diseases in the world. Measles claims 400 lives a day, most of them children. Of those who survive, nearly 30 percent suffer complications such as vision loss, hearing loss, brain damage, pneumonia, vitamin A deficiency or encephalitis.
