Story
This is Songaa
💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔
HOW CAN PEOPLE BE SO HEARTLESS
HOW CAN PEOPLE BE SO CRUEL
It's easy to be hard it's easy to turn away, especially when the country is Spain and its a GALGO lying suffering at the side of a motorway!
💔 💔 💔 This is Songaa the epitome of heartbreak but for those of us who can not turn away this Galgo is safe. Songaa we now know lay unattended suffering for days, cars passing him by until help finally came.
Severely dehydrated with a massive infection ravaging his weakened body he clung to life at the side of the road. Both his back legs had serious damage.
Songaa has had to undergo 3 operations so far.
His left leg had numerous breaks which have required extensive pinning and he has a number of external fixators in place.
His right patella has been surgically reattached, and his right hip has been removed in a procedure known as a Femoral Head Ostectomy.
Although this has relieved him of the dreadful pain he was in, without follow up physiotherapy and subsequent hydrotherapy Songaa will have gone through all these operations in vain.
At the moment his Veterinary bills are just under £3000 so donations are desperately needed to give this courageous boy a good quality of life .
Please donate, every penny counts!
Please help this gentle submissive boy back on to all four feet!

6 years agoHi everyone, Just a little update to say that Songaa is on his way to his new home where his rehabilitation will continue with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. Due to minor setbacks with his surgeries and recuperation he had only just started his physiotherapy when his travel date arrived. Songaa had done extremely well while in rescue due to the dedicated care and love of his foster mums and vets, so hopefully he will not need many physio and hydrotherapy sessions in the UK. I will update as soon as I have any more news 🙂 Thanks everyone🙂

6 years agoThank you to everybody who has donated for Songaa's treatment costs 💗 Here is a little video update. You can see that his left leg is still very painful even though he has had the fixators removed now. Hydrotherapy and physiotherapy is extremely important to get started now and needs to be done as often as he is able to take it in the next 4 weeks. Obviously this will be costly, but the benefits will make all the difference to his future life and will make him less vulnerable to injury and pain in the future too x

6 years agoSongaa has had the metalwork removed but the bone is very fragile and part of it hasn't fused. He is very weak on both legs at the moment but there is hope that with the right treatment his mobility will improve
