Story
Doing a sponsored swim 22nd May to raise funds for my swimming club, Aberdeen Physically Disabled Swimming Club. Planning 50-60 lengths in a session. The club makes a big difference to people's lives. Weekly club that allows people with all disabilities to exercise and to meet others with various conditions. It is good for us all to be able to get out of sitting in wheelchair or to get away from aids such as walking sticks and just be free for a bit in the water. There is hoist access to the pool as well as steps so it is accessible for all. Volunteers help look after everyone and provide support in pool as well as outside if and when needed. Also have accessible shuttle bus driven by volunteers who take people to swimming and home again to make it easier for all to get there. We hire a section of a pool but need funds so we can continue to use it. We are a charity and any donations to help us continue to run would make a big difference so we are able to continue swimming.
