My family have been made homeless through no fault of our own. The local council are refusing to help us altho I am classed disabled and have multiple health issues Inc Depression, Mental health, Menieres disease, asthma, lymphoedema, back & neck problems. high blood pressure & cholesterol Had to have a tumour removed and full hysterectomy as a result of this. My partner & my son also have health problems. yet the council say we are not "vulnerable". Myself partner & my son are now homeless. We have tried getting private rental ourselves. private & Letting agents. Gumtree. council. Over 200 estate agents but no one will take us as we don't have a Guarantor and unable to get one. We are seeking help from citizens advice and ombudsman and will be contacting a legal dept regarding medway councils decision on Thursday. The money needed is to raise essential funding to help us secure accommodation & fees, fees for removal & storage costs as the money we had for rent & deposit has all been swallowed by these costs and they are ongoing until we find somewhere to live.
