    Story

School is essential to every child's life.

We are VSO ICS volunteers based here in Samfya, Zambia, working from Samfya Youth Resource Centre, our partner organisation, comprising of Jenn, Amy, Julius, and Hope. After spending a little over two months in the community, we have noticed a great need for infrastructure development.

We have been working with many different schools and communities, and one school in particular has stood out to us; Chibinde Community School. Consisting of only two classrooms, both of which have fallen into disrepair, they are in great need of our help. The school has pot holes in the classroom floor, broken windows, dated, crumbling paint, and a lack of basic resources, such as desks, books, and chalk that any school would normally need.

For a school that teaches children of Grade 1-7, (aged 5-15), this is not a fit environment for learning. As a team, we would love, with your help, to make a lasting difference at Chibinde School, to empower the younger generation here in Samfya!

As this community has received little to no form of support, with your support, they can have access to an improved school that will give them the best start to their future.

Having met the children who attend Chibinde School, we know that despite the poor standards of the environment, they are always smiling, positive, and eager to learn, and to be able to give them something so small will make such a positive difference.

With the funds donated by you, Chibinde School can be given a new lease of life, to provide a higher level of education to local children.

Please show your support, as it can go a long way. Thank you so much in advance!
