My cousin Wendy was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer almost 2 years ago now, she had major surgery for this followed by chemotherapy, after the first round she was told she was in remission but two weeks later she discovered new "lumps" around her collarbone and groin....the cancer had returned. Further chemotherapy was required, this time it was every week instead of every 2/3 weeks, it has been really hard going with all the usual side effects and pains of chemotherapy and frequents stays in hospital due to those horrible side effects. Unfortunately the chemotherapy has only slowed the process down and there is to be no further treatment of this kind. Mistletoe therapy is an alternative therapy for cancer and has shown good long term benefits for such patients, but like a lot of things in life it is not funded and the Mistletoe Therapy U.K. rely on donations and patients funding their own treatment, so I've decided to fund raise for Wendy's treatment in the hope that it will give her more time with her family and see her son Craig finish his apprenticeship, settled in life with someone and his own family.
