This can only be done through neutering and spaying the population, also regular flea treatments to stop skin infections which can be disastrous if left untreated. We want to ensure the cats and dogs get at least one meal a day. There is not a lot that gets thrown out for them to scavenge on, what's really heartbreaking is that these animals are not wild they are tame and jump to the chance of a petting.
