Last year, the club lost one of it's top pairs in a driving accident and current GB Triallists sweeping are at a disadvantage to those clubs with newer, faster boat fleets. We therefore wish to raise funds to buy a new 'pair' in order to support our athletes and the club as a whole. Durham University Boat Club is also seeking to regain it's status as one of the top Rowing Universities in the country so we greatly appreciate any amount of support whether it be £5 or £50. We ask you to donate what you can so that we can excel in what we love to do!

For the next two years, British Rowing are focusing its fundraising towards Cancer Research UK. With the expanding rowing community, more and more rowers are connected with those diagnosed with cancer. We hope to raise as much as we can to support the research going into cancer treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.

We played the university Hockey Team in a game of football on the 10th December to help raise money for the clubs and CRUK. Together, we raised near £300 from donations from players, spectators and selling cakes and hot chocolate on the sideline!
