    Story

    Remember Martin Berham.

Martin fought and lost his battle with cancer leaving behind Claire and their children. Martin was a kind man, loved his family and worked hard to support them. So dreadfully sad his life has been taken at the age of 37.

We are hoping to raise some funds to help them all through this very difficult time.

Martin joined Bates IT in 2004 as an apprentice where he soon shone. working with Bates IT on our first ever £1m order to rollout 3500 PC’s for UCLH, the first new hospital to be built in London for 100 years, so very high profile. Martin’s knowledge, hard work and commitment helped us deliver this milestone. Martin then joined as a full time employee working at UCLH and proved himself again, learning applications to solve problems for users. He was popular with his work colleagues and customers and grew in confidence to work on new sites with more responsibilities. Martin would never give up and always found a work around often working in his own time to solve problems. Like us all, sometimes he would get frustrated and vent, but he would never hold a grudge.

It was a great shock to us all when he was first diagnosed with cancer but we all hoped for a recovery, sadly this was not to be . Martin passed away after a brave and well fought battle with his cancer.

When I think of Martin I think of someone who was always willing to help you out. So many times he went above and beyond to help me, the staff and patients at UCLH! He will be missed so very much.
