On the 27th of May I (and my mum) will be undertaking The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, a 24 mile walk up and down Ingleborough Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside, to fundraise for my expedition to Zambia in the summer of 2019.

I am doing the trip to Zambia with World Challenge, an organisation that supports community projects across the world, including Zambia. During the trip I will collaborate with local builders to construct a new home for a member of the Mwandi community. This will include learning about traditional mud and stick building techniques to create a safe space for vulnerable members of the community. I will also live alongside villagers, immersed in rural life for authentic engagement with Zambian culture.

This will be an extremely valuable experience but will cost a lot of money to fund. In order to pay for the expedition I have to raise £4,350 and part of the ethos underpinning World Challenge is that participants should take on personal challenges of their own to fund raise.
