Having undertaken some home improvements, we were met with a challenge when our builders falsely claimed we hadn't paid them & took us to court.

As a family, we have all suffered with poor health, from my mother & grandmother suffering heart attacks, to my nephew almost losing his battle to Meconium Aspiration upon birth. Due to severe, prolonged stress, I myself fell ill, with an initially misdiagnosed tumour, which was fortunately benign. However, I ended up in hospital, in critical care with near fatal complications from what was supposed to be a minor, investigative procedure. Thereafter, having to endure 2 further invasive surgeries, I am now living with chronic pain & life altering injuries. In order to care for me, my mother took early retirement & my sister had to leave her job. As a result, we have faced many financial challenges to say the least, & now we are facing the harsh reality of a £100,000 court bill & a forced eviction, meaning we will lose our family home.
