I became friends with Vicky 9 years ago when we took our baby daughters to a local library playgroup.
She had told me that she was diagnosed with breast cancer 12 years ago & had to have a mastectomy on one breast. She recovered & was given a positive success rate of it never returning.
Unfortunately, 2 years ago, she was given the tragic news that it had not only returned, but it had also spread to her spine, ribs & lymphnodes. She was also told that it was stage 4 metastatic cancer & that it was incurable. She has also recently been told it has spread to her liver & the lining of her brain. Vicky is 43 & has a husband & 2 young children (a 9 year old daughter & a 7 year old son) Needless to say her family & friends are devastated for her.
Throughout all of this, she is always positive, has a wicked sense of humour, & is truly inspirational.
I would like to give her a gift & show her how much I love her. I will therefore be having my hair shaved off on 30th December 2017 & raising money to give her & her family. Hopefully they will make lots of wonderful memories, & she will get to live out her dream(s)

CAN I ALSO PLEASE ASK THAT YOU DON'T TELL VICKY AS I WANT IT TO BE A SURPRISE. ALSO, PLEASE DON'T TELL YOUR CHILDREN IF THEY KNOW HER CHILDREN AS HER CHILDREN AREN'T AWARE OF HOW SERIOUS THINGS ARE YET AND I WOULD HATE FOR THEM TO FIND OUT FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN VICKY HERSELF.
