What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is the new way to raise money for a personal cause on JustGiving.

During my studies in the University of South Wales I will be travelling to Africa in June/July 2017. The field trip is constructed as a hands on learning experience, where we learn how to identify tracks and signs to interpret the behaviour of big game and other animals. Everything we learn from this is not only important for my course, it is important for my future. I have a passion to work with animals in need or in danger, to make a change in the world. I understand the "stronger survives" motive but I think that the weak deserve a chance as well. And to spend a month in the wildlife in South Africa, observing and studying animals and their behaviour in their natural environment is something that I could only dream of. Now, I have the chance to make my dream come true, however, there is only thing standing in my way- money. The costs of the trip may rise up to £2000 and as an international student, there isn't much support from the university nor the government. Therefore, the funds gathered here would be used to make my dream come true. And this dream starts with plane tickets, vaccinations, proper gear and clothing, accommodation, food and etc.

I am an international student from Estonia who came to Wales to continue my studies in the University of South Wales. I have chosen International Wildlife Biology for my course to expand my knowledge in conservation of wildlife and in natural sciences in general.
