This is our Jolanta mummy. She is 50 and this is her cancer story ...

In April this year our mum was diagnosed with an ovarian cancer. An operation was necessary. 2 big tumors were found and it was discovered that cancerous cells spread to her abdominal. Tumors were removed. However, more cancer cells were found in the lymph glands and liver. Doctors said that tumors have probably originated in her abdominal not ovaries. They were not sure and did more and more tests. It was only in August that they had decided to start chemo (still not sure where the tumor originated). We did not wait and tried alternative treatment. Mums illness was progressing. In September she ended up at A & E with intestinal obstruction (complications after 1st operation). She had a colostomy and an ostomy bag was fitted. It was only during the procedure that doctors confirmed that the tumor originated in muli ovaries, not abdominal. It was very important to start chemo ASAP and only just 3 weeks after the operation mum had her 1st chemo. Now she is waiting for her 3rd.

Our mummy is very weak because she did not get a chance to fully recover after her last operation. She has lost a lot of weight and her results are not good.

We have found a little light at the end of the tunnel. We found a private clinic in Germany that can help our mum to get stronger to be able to have chemo mo. However, it costs more then we can afford. We would like to ask for help to raise this money. A day in this clinic costs between € 400 and € 500.

Our mum has 6 children- 4 girls and 2 boys (the youngest only 11). She is also a granny to 5 grandchildren.
