Story
I am running the Bristol 10k on 7th May to raise money for The Harvey Hext Trust - A Siblings Wish and The Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal for Ward 34 at Bristol Children's Hospital - children's oncology.
My Dad inspired me to start running and we always ran together. He fought a very brave fight against this horrible disease so I know he would approve of these charities.
Dad, it is so hard running without you but you are always in my ear - "it's not how fast you go, it's about getting the miles in your legs!". This will be my first run without you so I am lucky to have some lovely girls to run with.
These are wonderful charities and I feel proud to run in their names just to do my little bit to help anyone suffering from the effects of this cruel disease just a tiny bit
The Harvey Hext Trust was set up in Harvey's name to provide beautiful memory boxes to siblings that have lost a brother or sister.
Ward 34 is the children's oncology Ward at Bristol Children's hospital
