Poverty is a huge issue in Fiji that forces many children to drop out of education. Many children do not progress past primary school level. For those who continue their study, they find little to no extracurricular activities or educational programmes. A vast majority of Fijian schools lack basic educational supplies and are in a poor condition.
For 4 weeks in June, I am joining a group of volunteers in Fiji to teach children in the community Maths, English and Sports. I will be living with a family in the village throughout the project.
Your money will be invested into Fiji's youth, increasing opportunities for future generations of Fijian children by allowing access to improved infrastructure and education.
