Leilani has just turned 18. She was first diagnosed with a Wilms tumour age 3. An operation removed her kidney and was followed by chemo & radiotherapy. Leilani was ok....until she was 5 when it came back again. More chemo & radiotherapy helped Leilani battle through once again. She had a good few years cancer free, doing things all children Love.
Sadly when Leilani was 14 years old, she was diagnosed a third time. She didn't know at the time, but she had a 4 year fight ahead of her. This time, it was in her pelvis, a tumour the size of a grapefruit, causing so much pain & discomfort. It had to be removed by specialists in London. This took 6 months of planning as it was a major operation. Again, chemo, radiotherapy & all the terrible sickness that she remembered so well & her biggest upset of losing her hair again.

It's been 15 years since Leilani's first diagnosis.I have never heard her complain, she has been so strong & amazingly resilient during every treatment. Even at her youngest she would be covering MY eyes while she had needles to stop me fainting! Her positive attitude through all she's had to cope with is a fantastic example for all of us!
Recently scans showed Leilani had about 20 tumours on her lungs & 2 on her spine. Alarmingly, radiotherapy only helped slightly to reduce the number of them but couldn't quite do the job. More tumours appeared on her lungs after the radiotherapy. With hope, Leilani went on a trial cancer drug, driving 2 hours to Surrey every other week for treatment, but drs found from scans, the treatment wasn't working for her.

Leilani has now exhausted all treatment options,Drs have told her to go & have some fun & do some special things.

She has always wanted to go to Disney in Florida. I would love to make this possible in Oct 2017 This may be Leilani's only opportunity, I can't do this without your help. I would be so grateful for any donation you can afford.
