Hi! I‘m Clare and i am mum to the most amazing girl-Katie. I am so proud of Katie, she is now 12. She was born with Cerebral Palsy, a life long condition that affects movement and co ordination caused by brain damage that occurs before, during or soon after birth.

When she was born, we were told by doctors that she may never walk and she has spent the majority of her life in a wheelchair. But in 2015 katie underwent a 9 hour operation where surgeons performed 10 operations- 5 on each leg at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital.

After many hours of intense physio & rehabilitation & hard work by katie the operation has allowed her to have much more movement now and has even allowed her to follow her dream of becoming a model.

Against all the odds Katie has been offered an incredible, once in a lifetime chance to actually walk down the catwalk at the world famous New York Fashion Week in September 2019. We just cannot believe it!

Unfortunately as a family this is not something we can afford as the costs of flights, accomodation and expenses is ot covered by anyone and we do not have that much money spare but we would love to make this happen for Katie. It would be the first time a child with Cerebral Palsy is able to walk at New York Fashion Week and it would be a dream come true.

We will be doing everything we can to raise the funds ourselves, through cake sales, school fundraising & sponsored events but we would appreciative of anything that would help us do this.

It would be incredible for myself, her Dad and little sister to see Katie walk in New York and we would be amazingly proud.

Any additional money over our target raised will be donated to the amazing Alder Hey Childrens Hospital as a thankyou for everything they have done for Katie and the life saving treatment they provide to thousands of children each year.
