We visit a centre in Jordan where Syrian refugee children are referred to for intensive psychotherapy and counselling as they are severely traumatised by the horrors they have witnessed. These children have seen beheadings, rape and some have been present when their fathers or siblings were tortured or killed. They all suffer from PTSD. They suffer from nightmares, flashbacks, bedwetting, angry tendencies and have become so desensitised to the horrors of war. The centre is run by Syrian volunteers who are doing amazing work. Everything they have at the centre is donated and we do take toys and craft items. They also do community visits to the families of the children who are referred and take hygiene packs to each family and there are many. Some families are living in a windowless room with only a camping stove for heat and a mattress on the floor. We would like to try and help some of these families who have lost everything and suffered beyond belief. It isnt until you hear their stories that you can even begin to understand how they have suffered. Please give anything you can....however small. Thank you
