Weʼve raised £1,460 to enable Ghanaian children to have an education.
- Funded on Saturday, 1st September 2018
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
In Ghana, children can only have an education if their parents can afford to pay for school uniforms and basic equipment. If their parents cannot afford this, the children face a childhood of breaking stones, chopping wood and minding livestock. Not having an education. Something we take for granted. It costs just £50 per child to start their education. The money you donate will be passed onto the Lovey Foundation. They buy the uniforms and equipment and send them directly to the children that need their help. No money is sent. To encourage you to donate, 4 friends, Marc, Nigel, Andy and James, are kayaking the full length of the River Thames. 215 miles from Lechlade in Gloucestershire to the Sea. We are willing to make the effort if you are willing to donate. Every £50 raised will educate a child and hopefully give them a better future.
