I am setting this page up today for my brother Damien and my sister in law Lynn.

For those of you who don't know, Lynn is currently 24 weeks pregnant with my 2nd Nephew.

Sadly at their 20week scan it was discovered that the baby had some fluid on his brain and while they were told it may be normal the consultant was unsure what this was and asked them back the following week for another scan. At this scan it was discovered that the baby has a tumor (a teratoma)on his brain at this point measuring around 2cm. Lynn underwent an MRI to check the extent of the tumor the following Wednesday where it showed the tumor had basically doubled in size and unfortunately was in the centre of the baby's brain pressing on his brain stem where it can not be operated on.

Due to the severity of the tumor and how quickly it is growing the chances of our beautiful baby boy even making it to birth are very low and if he did make it this far he may not even be able to breathe when born and could be in a lot of pain.

So it has been decided in the best interest of my lovely little nephew that Lynn will be induced early and our boy will be born sleeping.

I just ask at such a financially draining time of year, for people to donate as little or as much as possible to help relieve some of the financial cost of a funeral/wake for a special little boy born too soon and to help the family through this difficult time.

I have set the target at £1000 but every little helps. And they would be grateful for any amount raised.
