    Story

An Usborne Organiser in my downline, Sophie Foster, has had some terrible news today (21.10.18) that the school she works at, Red Lane Primary School in Bolton, Greater Manchester, has been devastated by a huge fire due to a terrible arson attack.

Their 2 year olds provision, nursery and 2/3 classrooms have all been destroyed either by the fire itself or through smoke damage. Around 200 children will have been directly affected and many resources have been lost including huge numbers of books.

As a huge and passionate advocate for reading, I said to Sophie that I wanted to restore the staff and children's faith in humanity and come together to make a difference to everyone affected in this school. If we can raise over £600 then Usborne will provide us with an extra 60% of books on top, all books that the school can use to start to rebuild their resources.

Any contribution will be greatly appreciated and will make a real difference.

I was glad to read earlier this week that the children from the nursery are settling into life at their make-shift classrooms. I hope that we can do our bit to help rebuild their library.
