A friend and colleague at work set up the fund in memory of his daughter Alexia-Leigh McArthue who was just four years old. Alexia was diagnosed on the 7th October 2013 with ALL, which stands for Accute Lymphoblastic Leukemia but sadly passed away on the 18th October 2013, just 11 days later from meningitis.
As a father to a child I wanted to show support and contribute where I could...no words could ever come close to showing the emotion you feel from such a horrendous loss in your life, actions speak louder that words.
This is a huge personal challenge to push myself and hope to better my own personal health, not only for myself but my family. I have done no exercise for two whole years and started on the bike March 2018. So many people have said thats only 3 months and pull a very funny facial expression...and your going to cycle 107 Miles... but I have been training hard and I am very determined to complete this and raise the money for this course. WISH ME LUCK.
You are welcome to wave the riders off at the Sheffield Childrens Hospital then meet them after their long Journey at The Moody Cow Pub, sea land, Skegness Ingoldmells, PE25 1PG
