Izzy Hopper is my friends 3 year old little girl who lives here locally in Irchester, Northants. The Hopper family are not originally from the area and originally come from Reading, so their support network is very limited here locally. On mothers day my dear friends Louise & Ian Hopper were told that Izzy had been diagnosed with a rare form of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. In the past couple of days that news has gone from bad to worse... tonight I received the devestating call from Louise that Izzy's aggressive cancer has already spread and is at stage 4. Izzy actually has B Type stage 4 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and Leukemia. Louise & Ian have not left Izzy's side at Nottingham Hospital for days now & this has been extremely hard as this has meant leaving their 8 year old son Joseph behind here with his grandad. This is just the start of their horrific journey which lies ahead of them... watching by while Izzys aggressive treatment soon begins & worrying about Joseph here not being able to be by his side....a family not able to all be together...This personally matters to me as I have lost many friends & family over the years to Cancer but now this.... this beautiful family are close friends, our children bestfriends. This disease can happen to ANYONE at ANYTIME. Myself, husband & my children are taking part in the 5k Peterborough Inflatable run this saturday and would like to raise as much money as possible for this family to help with Izzys treatment & anything & everything else that they face financially. I can not take away Izzys pain, nor her brothers, nor parents & rest of family, but I feel I HAVE to do something to help in whatever little way I can.
