Story
Since 1988 my dad has had kidney failure and has been having dialysis treatment to support his life. The dialysis machines have kept him alive and given him the best quality of life possible with his given conditions. Without this machine, he wouldn't be alive today. He dialyses 3 times a week for an average of 4 hours a time. The staff have been so helpful throughout the years and have worked hard to ensure his needs are catered for, he's comfortable throughout the procedure and his life runs as smooth as possible. On behalf of my dad and my family to show our appreciation, we would like to make a contribution back to the renal unit as a small token of our gratitude and appreciation to the unit. The money raised will never be enough to compensate how grateful we are for all the staff's hard work and the professionalism provided from the NHS, however, we feel that this is the least that we could do to say thank you. We hope that this contribution will help the renal unit and will help benefit others like it has with my dad.

I'm participating in "Etape Caledonia" which is an 85 mile cycle, to raise money for St.Johns Hospital's renal unit on May 20th 2018. It begins in Pitlochry, goes round Loch Rannoch, Loch Tummel, takes in the steep climb of Mt. Schiehallion, Aberfeldy and finishes at Pitlochry.
