Who are we:

We are Keynsham Rugby Club's under 15's. The U15's are a fantastic team of hardworking young men, many who have played together for almost ten years now. The boys train and play down at the Rec in Keynsham with most coming from Keynsham and Saltford. Keynsham Rugby is very much embedded in our local community and is a success story for so many young men, keeping them fit and healthy in not just bodies but minds too. At this particular age and period in their development this is so very important and as a parents, we have seen how transformational this can be for them. Over 300 players below the age of 16, train and play matches each week whilst developing the life skills that rugby teaches them including teamwork, respect and discipline.

What and why it's important:

The boys have worked so unbelievably hard this year and now have an amazing opportunity to go the Netherlands together on a rugby tour in October 2026. This is a huge opportunity for our players to grow, bond, and make memories that will last them a lifetime and for some the opportunity of a trip they may not ordinarily experience. This trip is also very much a reward for the dedication that they show week in, week out, in rain, snow or sunshine!

Rugby has a place in the team for all players and this inclusivity and sense of family are what is important to us. We are celebrating the bonds that the players have formed over the years and are aiming to make some more lasting memories as we take them on their final Junior Tour in October 2026.

Why we need to raise funds:

Raising funds for this trip will support us to cover the cost of travel, accommodation, and tournament fees - it all adds up so very quickly. We also see this as an opportunity for us to motivate our young players to raise funds themselves by undertaking activities to gain support and advocate for the club.

How much?:

We are looking to raise £1000 as whilst parents have contributed very generously to date, this is the remaining gap in our costs.
