Heyyyy everyone!
As some of you may know, I was out working with WALOU this week, a beautiful initiative that supports the work of Moroccan organisations that house and care for street children in Tetouan, Morocco. Myself and two WALOU trustees were shown around the homes of girls and boys who now live under the care of the charity as a result of some of their very difficult circumstances.
After spending some time with the kids, we found out that two of the boys at one of the homes are in need of two separate operations for two separate medical conditions. At this stage their conditions aren't critical, but before long they could worsen to a point of real urgency and the charity simply has not got the funds to get them the help they need. The operations are going to cost approximately £700-800 each, so 1.6k in total, and we have until Saturday 22nd to do this 💪🏼 That's because, as some of you may also know, I'm doing my drive to Morocco 💃🏻 🚙 and I need to get that money raised and exchanged quicktime 💸 👏🏼 .
I've not disclosed the boys' names and medical conditions to preserve their right to confidentiality as I'm sure you can all understand 🙏🏼 Myself, Maiya and Lamis have decided to raise the funds between our family and friends instead of the charity as we have a limited time (lolol a week) to gather the funds, so please, please feel free to message any one of us if you have any questions!
You'll all receive an update on this page once the funds have been issued, and then again once the operations have been paid for.
We really can't thank you all enough for even the smallest contribution, and for taking the time to read this. £1.6k is steeeep but the intention is there and we can only try our best to raise as much as we can 🙏🏼
