Kelly Turner is a local 16 year old who has been raising funds to go to the USA to get treatment for her rare form of cancer. "Desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) is an aggressive tumor that typically begins in the abdomen or pelvis. Considered a pediatric cancer, this rare type of soft tissue sarcoma is diagnosed in about 20 adolescents in the United States each year." Without this treatment, she will die.

The great thing is she has raised the £500,000 needed for the surgery, however she still needs another £700,000 for her immunotherapy, and I would like to play as big a part as I can to help her achieve that.

So! I will be taking part in Tough Mudder on 7th May in an attempt to raise some money for Kelly.

Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile assault course. It's very tough and muddy (you also get electrocuted at one point...).

Hopefully you can all jump onboard and support this brave young girl and help her achieve this mammoth task of raising the funds for her life saving treatment.
