As we approach the first anniversary of Dad/Kieran "entering the spiritual phase of his life" (as he referred it towards the end of this life), Georgie, Orla and I are running (well me crawling!) the Manchester half marathon as it falls on said date. Monique is too young to enter so she and Cooper are to be our mascots. I think this will be our last push to raise money for Cancer Research and St Anne's Hospice and we would be delighted if we could raise another £5K to meet that which we raised this time last year to meet a total of £10K.

Cancer research - Monies raised will go directly to research based at The Christie lead by Professor Juan Valle, the hugely capable oncologist who looked after Dad/Kieran throughout his illness (pancreatic cancer.) Monies will NOT get lost in the organisation of The Christie (great facility but we want to be sure the money goes directly to research.)

St. Anne's Hospice, Cheadle - The end of life care that Dad/Kieran received here was amazing. They kept him pain free, comfortable and restful so that he could leave us in peace. Every single nurse and doctor were so very caring and compassionate. They allowed us to be calm and relaxed as he faded. The hospice relies on fundraising to keep offering this wonderful gift.
