Pete Blackler, a good friend, colleague, loving father and husband sadly died this June.

Pete leaves Candice his wife and children Faith (11) and Eric (9).

The fundraising will be used to help out Pete's family with their current living costs and also to set up an educational fund for the kids.

All donations, minus the JustGiving costs, will go straight to Candice and the kids. The travelling and climb are paid for by Thor, Ian and myself.

In November last year five friends that worked together and shared an apartment in Abu Dhabi in the early 2000's got together for a night out. After a few liquid refreshments it was decided that we would try to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2017. Unfortunately the others are not able to make it and Pete passed away but I want to take on the challenge for myself and in memory of Pete.

I will be joined by two friends, Thor and Ian. Pete also worked with Ian in the UAE.

Those that knew Pete know he was full of life and his family meant everything to him.

Please help where you can and no donation is too small.

I start the climb on Thursday 7th September and should be complete on the 14th September. As there will be limited internet access I will post updates when I am down.
