This beautiful older Spaniel mum was found abandoned at a petrol station heavily pregnant :( Luckily she was spotted and rescued by animal lover Tina who has cared for her and her puppies, who were born a few weeks later. Tina and Charley have been amazing to take this little family in but now need a helping hand as, like all animal lovers here, there is simply no room at the inn. I have a few people interested in adopting this very special girl but first she has a few health issues that must be addressed. I am appealing for financial help to give this senior mum the medical attention she so deserves. She has lived a troubled past and evidence that at some point she suffered a RTA, resulting in a jaw breakage and a few teeth out of place. As a result of this infection she has an abscess that needs to be dealt with. I will be taking her for a vet visit this week to have full bloods taken to make sure she is not suffering from Leishmania or any blood parasite related infections. She should also have her liver and kidneys tested as she is an older lady. Once we have the go ahead, dental work and neutering, followed by the standard vaccination programme. This little mum is just adorable and is so full of spirit, she so deserves a chance. Please can anyone spare a few pounds so we can get her the veterinary care that she so deserves!? She is not comfortable with her poorly teeth at all :( I have estimated the total costs, with vet quotes, to be around £200 and will start a fundraising appeal for her. UPDATE - During her neutering and dental work our Vet discovered serious health problems that also need addressing. Sugar Plum has Mammary Gland Tumors and the lump in her neck is in fact her salivary gland that requires an operation. Poor girl needs 2 more surgeries to get her back to health again, totaling approx £250, I have adjusted her target accordingly. Please continue to help this deserving senior beauty xx
