This scruffy cutie is Harvey, and he needs life-saving emergency dental surgery. That's why we've started this page, and why we're asking for your help - to get Harvey the medical treatment he needs to keep living, and to have the life he deserves.

Now I'll pass this on to his mummy, Hayley, to tell you about him, and what he's been through:

My fiancé Rob and I recently rescued Harvey, a little Jack Russell after his previous home burned down. Harvey is a hero. His siblings were 3 cats, and Harvey ran back into the house three times to save them. Sadly, the cats did not survive the house fire. Harvey is traumatised by what happened, and has suffered some horrific side-effects due to smoke inhalation, but Rob and I nursed him back to health. We completely fell in love with him; his happy smile and his scruffy little face. We volunteered to adopt him, to give him all the love he needs and deserves. He's now part of our little family, and we can't stand the thought of losing him.

Harvey's health conditions are affected not only by the fire, but long-standing issues which his previous parents were unable to resolve. The vet has now advised emergency dental surgery for our little boy. But they've have quoted us £300-£400 for this surgery, and due to our own circumstances, we just cannot afford to pay for this on our own. That's why we need your help.

Without the surgery he is likely to develop blood poisoning, and he may not last til the end of next month. In addition to the help he needs with his teeth, he has a lump in his chest which needs investigating. Therefore, any money raised above the goal will go towards his ongoing treatment.
