Helen's story:

A year ago our friends Helen and Mat were living the dream, happily married with an amazing 2 year old son and Helen pregnant with their second child.

After having a cough for several weeks, Helen was cruelly diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer with not the greatest prognosis. Having never smoked and living a healthy lifestyle, this devastating news was a shock, especially as they had to say goodbye to their unborn angel at 17 weeks.

Helen underwent 4 cycles of chemo that made her very ill and lose lots of weight, which she still struggles with now. Helen has spent over a year researching alternative treatments and applying these and was feeling well. Over the last couple of weeks Helen's health has deteriorated and they are completely shocked how things can change in the blink of an eye. Helen is a very private person but they are having to appeal for more help, which she finds embarrassing but ultimately she wants to be alive for their beautiful boy who is literally her life. Helen does not believe it's her path to not see her son grow up, not for one second. She is planning on going to a clinic in Germany and Ideally needs 3 weeks of treatment but there's not enough funds in the pot.

On Friday 20th October, I will be throwing myself out of an airplane in aid of raising money towards getting this vital treatment and would appreciate your sponsorship.
