Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Here is our story... My husband Gary (36) and I (27) met through a blind date I knew his brother. I spoke to Gary on the phone and the next day I travelled to meet Gary. We got engaged after being together for 5months but when you know...you know. We then decided that we wanted to start our family as soon as possible. After we had been trying for 1 year without success we got some medical advice. We were told by doctors that I have blocked tubes after many hospital appointments, tests, scans & an operation. We were told we will never conceive a child naturally. We were then put on the NHS waiting list back in 2014 the waiting list takes up to one year before you are invited to the IVF clinic in Glasgow for all the correct paperwork be completed. Over a year finally passed and we went to our appointment & told what date our IVF treatment would start this was due to start in July 2015. 2 weeks before our first IVF was due to start my husband was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia this was such a shock. My husband received 6 months of Chemotherapy and went into remission in April 2016. Our IVF then began. 1st treatment my eggs were post mature, 2nd treatment I had no eggs at all. 3rd IVF I had a special double booster. I had 15 fertilized eggs but only one embryo was implanted and the rest didn't make it to the freezing stage so with fingers and toes crossed we prayed this embryo would work. Yes it did, we got that positive test after 4 years of trying and 3 IVF treatments but unfortunately after 2 weeks I had a miscarriage. We have now just been informed that my husbands Leukaemia is back he is currently on a trial treatment. The reason I am reaching out to family and friends is because we have just been told we will are no longer entitled to NHS IVF treatment but the treatment is £5000 we have set our target at £500 as anything will help to make our family. A friend suggested I make this page.

We have had to make a new JustGiving Page due to there being a mix up with the previous page. Once the funds are received into the account from the previous page they will be added back onto this page minus the JustGiving page fees.
